I just watched the movie food.inc and it's an eye opener.

I watched it after going to the supermarket, and now I want to puke.
I like meat, but it makes me wonder.  Meat, is it safe, is it a ticking time bomb. E coli is lurking, after looking up some things, they don't even have an effective means to follow it back to it's source.  Your family can't even sue them if they kill you.  And E coli can kill you fast.

It is up to all of us to vote with our dollars.

Do buy food from companies that do the following:

Treat workers, animals, and the environment with respect.

Choose foods that are in seaon, try to buy foods that are organic,(I know they are expensive, try at least one)

know what's in your food, Read labels.

Try to buy food that is grown locally.  This cuts down on transportation expense, and fuel usage.

Try to plant a garden in your back yard, if you have one.

Ask your board members and PTA chairpersons to champion healthy food in schools.

Please write to your congressman for the FDA to actually enforce food safety.  The fda is not doing it's job
